Major Life Events
Weddings, births, graduations, and other big events can get pretty hectic, especially if you are hosting guests from out of town. Consider putting your furry friend in a kennel. You’ll know that your beloved is safe and sound, and being well-taken care of. That way, you can focus on the event at hand without worrying about your animal companion.
Moving is a huge change, and one that definitely takes a lot of work. Pets often get very nervous when they see their domains being dismantled. Don’t take a chance on Fido or Fluffy running out an open door—especially into a strange neighborhood—or getting underfoot while movers are carrying things. We recommend boarding your four-legged buddy on moving day. For long-distance moves, board your pet on the days your belongings are picked up and delivered.
This one depends quite a bit on what type of pet you have, and what kind of procedure you need. If you are having a minor, outpatient procedure, such as a tooth extraction, you may very well want to cuddle up with your four-legged friend while you binge-watch your favorite shows. However, for more invasive procedures, you may not be up to walking or playing with your furry buddy right away, especially if you have a big dog. Ask your vet and your doctor for advice.
Are you having work done to your home? For a long-term project, you may just want to use baby gates to keep your pet out of the work area. However, for something short and hectic, such as painting or installing new floors or carpets, you may want to consider boarding. You definitely don’t want Fido or Fluffy underfoot while people are using power tools! Your four-legged pal could also get hurt by stepping on a nail or tool, or running out an open door.
